PORN STAR ACCUSED BY WOMEN OF RAPE
I saw this interesting report on CNN, and decided to share it with you all.
With his average build, impish smile and mop of brown hair, adult film star James Deen is known for having carved out a niche in the industry as the guy who doesn't look like he belongs there.
"I'm like a guy a chick might actually meet in a bar," he told GQ in 2012, describing his appeal.
He not only looks the part but also appeared poised for crossover success into mainstream media as an actor and a spokesman for sex positivity.
Now, his "boy next door" image is under threat amid allegations that he raped an ex-girlfriend, beat up one actress and tried to force himself on another.
Deen's former girlfriend and co-star Stoya was the first to speak up on Saturday. In a tweet, she accused Deen of holding her down and raping her.
"That thing where you log in to the internet for a second and see people idolizing the guy who raped you as a feminist. That thing sucks," she said. Stoya's allegation led others in the adult film industry to speak out against Deen using the hashtag #SolidaritywithStoya.
"He's dead on the inside and dead to me. He's literally the worst person I've ever met. That's all I'll say for now," industry veteran Joanna Angel said in a tweet.
I don't know if you share my thought but the only thing i can think of is, Why would a porn star be rapping women? Doesn't he like get enough, I mean, he is a porn star. This things baffle me. Damn!

NIGERIA SENATE APPROVES N574 BILLION BUDGET
There is hope that the lingering fuel scarcity will come to an end before the yuletide as the Nigerian Senate Tuesday afternoon approved President Muhammadu Buhari’s request to incur an extra budgetary expenditure.
President Buhari initially requested for N465billion to pay for petrol subsidy and other pending bills.
But the Senate committee on appropriation led by Senator Danjuma Goje, after listening to officials of the Petroleum Ministry and the NNPC increased the request to N574billion, to cover the subsidy till the end of the year.
The Motion for the passage of the 2015 Supplementary Appopriation Bill was moved by Senate Leader Ali Ndume and seconded by the minority leader, Godswill Akpabio.
Thereafter, the Senate President, Bukola Saraki put the motion to vote and it was unanimously supported by senators.
The House of Representatives will need to also approve the expenditure, before President Buhari can have the legal authority to spend the money on request
Before the senate adjourned till Wednesday, thanked senators for the speedy approval of the budget. He however warned the MDAs to judiciously use the funds for the benefit of Nigerians.
“Those who cash in on the suffering of Nigerians to make money will soon be brought to book”, he added.
Air Asia QZ8501 Crash: Blamed on Pilot's response to equipment
The ill-fated plane was en route to Singapore from the Indonesian city of Surabaya on December 28 last year when it crashed into the Java Sea, killing all 162 people on board.
The plane's flight control computer had a cracked solder joint that kept malfunctioning. Aircraft maintenance records found it had malfunctioned 23 times in the year before the crash, and the interval of those became shorter in the three months prior to the crash.
"Subsequent flight crew action resulted in inability to control the aircraft... causing the aircraft to depart from the normal flight envelope and enter a prolonged stall condition that was beyond the capability of the flight crew to recover," Indonesia's National Transport Safety Committee said in a report.
In other words, "it's a series of technical failures but it's the pilot response that leads to the plane crashing," CNN's aviation correspondent Richard Quest said.
PRO-BIAFRA PROTESTERS DISTORT TRAFFIC IN ONITSHA (pics)
I remember what Jesus said on His way to Calvary, "weep not for me, but for yourselves and your children."
This protesters are no different from the supporters of the CHANGE administration, and all i see is the manipulation of greedy politicians and the hands of the very wealthy and yet greedy few pulling the strings of the masses like a puppet in the hands of a puppeteer.
My question to all Biafra supporters is, do you think this will solve our problem? Do you think it will change the ill-norm in our country of service men crowning themselves kings with public funds molded from the sweet and blood of the common man and the masses?
If your answer is Yes, then "IJE OMA" on your journey of sweet illusion, but if your answer is No, then let us focus on the real problem of eradicating corruption.
An Open Letter to Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari - bruce Fein
As written by Bruce Fein - A constitutional Lawyer and Author.
President Muhammadu Buhari
Aso Rock, Abuja
Nigeria
Dear President Buhari:
When you visited the United States Institute of Peace last July, you pledged that you would be "fair, just and scrupulously follow due process and the rule of law, as enshrined in [the Nigerian] constitution" in prosecuting corruption.
Such loftiness is laudable. As the Bible instructs in Amos 5:24: "[L]et justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream."
But to be just, the law must be evenhanded. It cannot, in the manner of Russian President Vladimir Putin, be something that is given to punish your enemies and withheld to favor your friends. If so, the law becomes an instrument of injustice bearing earmarks of the wicked rather than the good.
In the United States, you declared a policy of "zero tolerance" against corruption. You solicited weapons and other assistance from the United States government based on that avowal. But were you sincere?
During your election campaign, you promised widespread amnesty, not zero tolerance. You elaborated: "Whoever that is indicted of corruption between 1999 to the time of swearing-in would be pardoned. I am going to draw a line, anybody who involved himself in corruption after I assume office, will face the music."
After you were inaugurated, however, you disowned your statement and declared you would prosecute past ministers or other officials for corruption or fraud. And then again you immediately hedged. You were reminded of your dubious past by former Major General and President Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida, who succeeded your military dictatorship. He released this statement:
"On General Buhari, it is not in IBB's tradition to take up issues with his colleague former President. But for the purpose of record, we are conversant with General Buhari's so-called holier-than-thou attitude. He is a one-time Minister of Petroleum and we have good records of his tenure as minister. Secondly, he presided over the Petroleum Trust Fund, PTF, which records we also have.
We challenge him to come out with clean hands in those two portfolios he headed. Or we will help him to expose his records of performance during those periods. Those who live in glass houses should not throw stones. General Buhari should be properly guided."
You then swiftly backed off your zero tolerance policy because you would have been its first casualty.
You opportunistically announced that zero tolerance would be narrowed to the predecessor administration of Goodluck Jonathan because to probe further would be "a waste of time." That conclusion seems preposterous. In 2012, the World Bank's ex-vice president for Africa, Oby Ezekwesili, estimated that a stupendous $400 billion in Nigerian oil revenues had been stolen or misspent since independence in 1960. The lion's share of that corruption spans far beyond the Jonathan administration.
Your zero tolerance policy seems to come with a squint to avoid seeing culpability in your political friends. A few examples are but the tip of the iceberg.
A Rivers State judicial commission of inquiry found that N53 billion disappeared from the Rivers State Reserve Fund under former governor Rotimi Amaechi. Former Lagos governor and head of your campaign finance team Babatunde Fashola was accused ofsquandering N78 million of government money to upgrade his personal website. The EFCC has ignored these corruption allegations, and you have given both promotions: the Ministry of Transport to Mr. Amaechi, and the Ministry of Power, Works, and Housing to Mr. Fashola.
In contrast, you have played judge, jury, and prosecutor in the newspapers to convict former PDP Petroleum Minister Diezani Alison-Madueke of corruption.
Is this evenhanded justice?
United States Supreme Court Justice Robert Jackson taught: "[T]here is no more effective practical guaranty against arbitrary and unreasonable government than to require that the principles of law which officials would impose upon a minority must be imposed generally. Conversely, nothing opens the door to arbitrary action so effectively as to allow those officials to pick and choose only a few to whom they will apply legislation and thus to escape the political retribution that might be visited upon them if larger numbers were affected."
To investigate or prosecute based on political affiliation or opinion also violates Articles 2 and 7 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. It is unworthy of a great nation like Nigeria.
Make the hallmark of your administration justice, not retribution, and you may live for the ages.
I am a United States citizen and lawyer. I have no political standing in Nigeria. Some might argue that my speaking about the administration of justice in Nigeria bespeaks impertinece. But you chose to vist the United States to solicit weapons and other assistance from my government--a government of the people, by the people, for the people. The United States government represents me. What the United States government does reflects on me. I thus have an interest in addressing the actions of foreign governments that receive United States government aid.
Sunshine is said to be the best of disinfectants.

MOCK ATTACK ON KENYAN UNIVERSITY TAKES LIVE
Kenyan security forces launched a mock attack on a Nairobi university on Monday, causing widespread panic that killed one staff member and injured at least two students.
Without notice to students at Strathmore University, security forces simulated an attack on the school’s Madaraka campus. Believing the attack and ammunition used to be real, students began to flee and chaos ensued.
The university confirmed to Al Jazeera that a 33-year-old university staff member died "from severe head injuries" incurred during the melee.
It was not immediately clear what led to the staff member's death, but local media reported that a number of people jumped from the third story of a building to flee the false attackers, while photographs showed others perched on the ledges of a building.
At least two other students were also injured during the incident. The Kenyan Red Cross confirmed that two patients were hospitalized. Their condition is unknown, but Agence France-Press reported that at least one of the wounded is in critical condition.
The mock drill came just months after Al-Shabab laid siege to Garissa University in Kenya's east, killing 148 people. That attack followed a deadly 2013 assault on Westgate mall in Nairobi, also by the armed group. The attacks were part of a string of other assaults on Nairobi and Kenya in general by the group.
In a statement provided to Al Jazeera, Strathmore University said that prior training on how to act in the event of a real attack had been provided to teams of security marshals, comprising staff and students. "This simulation was aimed at testing the preparedness of the university community and emergency team in the event of an attack,"
I don't know about you, but i don't like this idea at all. I think it completely sucks.
US cancels Visa waiver because of Paris Nov 13 attack
According to AlJazeera reports yetserday, the White House announced changes to the U.S. visa waiver program on Monday so that security officials can more closely screen travelers from 38 countries allowed to enter the United States without obtaining visas before they travel.
Under the new measures, which were prompted by the Nov. 13 attacks in Paris by the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) would immediately start to collect more information from travelers about past visits to countries such as Syria and Iraq, the White House said.
The changes will "enhance our ability to thwart terrorist attempts to travel on lost or stolen passports," White House spokesman Josh Earnest told reporters in Paris, where President Barack Obama is attending U.N. talks on climate change.
The DHS would also look at pilot programs for collecting biometric information such as fingerprints from visa waiver travelers, the White House said.
The DHS would also ask Congress for additional powers, including the authority to increase fines for air carriers that fail to verify passport data, and the ability to require all travelers to use passports with embedded security chips, the White House said.
The White House also wants to expand the use of a "preclearance program" in foreign airports to allow U.S. border officials to collect and screen biometric information before visa waiver travelers can board airplanes to the United States.
The White House urged Congress to pass legislation before leaving Washington later in December for a holiday recess.
BUKINA FASO HAS AN ELECTED PRESIDENT AFTER DECADES
Roch Marc Kabore was proclaimed the winner of the presidential election in Burkina Faso and will become the country's first new leader in decades, the Independent National Electoral Commission said on Tuesday.
The election of the former prime minister represents a pivotal moment for the West African nation, which has been ruled by leaders who came to power in coups for most of its history since independence from France in 1960.
Kabore served as prime minister and head of the National Assembly under President Blaise Compaore, who was toppled by an uprising in October 2014 after 27 years in power. Kabore split with Compaore early last year and formed an opposition party.
NEW BORN BABY BURIED ALIVE IN COMPTON
A caller reported to sheriff officials Friday around 4 p.m. that a baby was crying in the riverbed, which travels north and south between West 136th Street and North Slater Ave., the news release stated.
Deputies Perry and Collette responded, and they heard a baby’s muffled cries as they canvassed the area.
A newborn girl, believed to be 36 to 48 hours old, was found “buried alive under pieces of asphalt and rubble inside a crevice located along the bike path,” the news release stated.
The deputies removed the debris and recovered the baby, who was said to be cold to the touch.
She was then medically triaged at the scene by Compton Fire Department officials and later transported to a local hospital, where she was listed in stable condition and was in the custody of the county's Department of Children and Family Services, authorities said. "If the child had spent the night there, in those conditions, the baby wouldn't have survived," sheriff's Sgt. Marvin Jaramilla said at a news conference.
Angel Flores, a resident near the location where the infant was found, said he was approached by two women who told him that they had heard cries while walking in the area. One of the women initially thought the sound was being made by a cat. "The other one said, 'No, it sounds like a baby crying,'" Flores recounted. "She was very curious. She saw these pieces of wood and rocks on top of it. She removed them and she found a newborn baby." Flores and the two women immediately called authorities and reported the discovery, he said.
I kind of have a feeling that this child will do great things. When you have a die-hard will to live, and nature is defied on your account, then you must be born for greatness.
